More About Max:

While in the office of Assemblymember Bonta in 2015, Mikalonis staffed California’s landmark Medical Cannabis Regulation and Safety Act (MCRSA).

Mikalonis has also been instrumental in drafting key legislation. Since leaving the Assembly, Mikalonis joined K Street and is receiving much acclaim as a policy expert across the nation from the New York Times to the Orange County Register.

Core Issues for Max include:

    • Compassionate Use Programs
    • Resentencing and Expungement.

Pam Epstein:

Pam and Max love nerding out on cannabis regulations! We’re providing a front-row seat to this important dialogue.

Pam is the founder of Greenwise Consulting and a prominent figure in cannabis business and legal concerns. She’s been effective in guiding municipalities through the legislative process and participated in the most recent LA hearing.

Of note, Pam serves as an adjunct professor, most recently teaching the first cannabis law course at Arizona Summit Law School.  Prior to her work in cannabis, Pamela founded the Sierra Club’s Environmental Law & Policy Clinic in San Diego.

Dr. Juli Crockett: 

Ms. Crockett is the Director of Compliance with MMLG consultancy and serves on the Board of Directors for the California Cannabis Industry Association (CCIA).

Tina Braithwaite:

Tribal Chairwoman Utu Utu Gwaitu Paiute Tribe.
Co-Founder of California Native American Cannabis Association

Dave Vialpando:

Chairman of the Santa Ysabel Tribal Gaming Commission and Executive Director of the Santa Ysabel Tribal Cannabis Regulatory Agency. Assisted in Crafting AB 924.

Ariel Clark:

Attorney and Founding Partner, Clark Neubert LLP.
A Native American from the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and
Chippewa Indians in Michigan, Ms. Clark initially attended law school to learn and practice Indian law. Clark Neubert LLP now works with tribes and operators to develop tribal cannabis projects.
